My current research includes:

1) population ecology of birds breeding in arid and semi-arid enviornments.

•  population dynamics and habitats of rare and endemic species (e.g. Syrian Serin, Dead Sea Sparrow, Griffon Vulture, and others)
•  nesting success of finch species resident in Jordan
•  habitats and territorial behaviour of wheatear species

2) community ecology in arid environemnts

• the impacts of various factors on the diversity and abundance of breeding bird species in desert ecosystems

3) habitats of resident and migratory species

• stop over ecology of passerine migrants
• habitat use of resident species

4)  Raptor migration: phenology and magnitude in Jordan

5)  long-term ecosystem research in Wadi Araba and Dana Reserve; currently working on acacia trees, invasive prosopis, ecosystem services and diversity of vertebrates
