Research Interests
• Neuroimaging using High and Ultra-High Field MRI. - MRI of Neurodegenerative diseases (Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Schizophrenia). - MRI tracking of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells. - MRI of spinal cord injury. - Brain changes in Obesity and Diabetes Mellitus (DM). • Abdominal Imaging using High-Field MRI and/or Computed Tomography (CT). - Abdominal fat and their link with structural and functional brain changes using MRI. - Hepatic fat assessment using MRI. - Hydatid cyst imaging. - Imaging of Adult intussusception • Optimization of different imaging techniques at High and Ultra-High Field MRI. - Quantitative magnetic susceptibility mapping technique (QSM). - Quantitative Parametric Mapping (T1, T2, T2*, PD, MTR). - Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI). - Functional MRI (fMRI). • Advanced Image Post-Processing and Analysis. - Image co-registration. - Image Segmentation. - Cortical parcellation (thickness, area, and volume) - Morphometric measurements. - Iron calculations from phase images. - Parametric mapping (Relaxometry, Magnetization Transfer and CEST). - Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) and Tractography. - fMRI Analysis. - Abdominal fat segmentation. - Liver fat measurement.
