- I Hold a B.Sc. in Pharmacy in 1998 from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan and was ranked first with a GPA of 3.86/4.
- I got my Ph.D in Pharmaceutics and Cosmetic Science in 2004 from the College of Pharmacy at University of Cincinnati in the United States and currently I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPS) at the Hashemite University (HU).
- I served as a founding member in the Supreme Committee for the establishment of the FPS at HU with excellent experience in the development of B.Sc. Pharmacy curriculum based on professional pharmaceutical job market needs.
- During the preparation of the Faculty of Pharmacy curriculum I gained familiarity and knowledge in all available pharmacy study plans that are implemented in Jordanian public and private universities as well as the required accreditation standards for BSc. in Pharmacy from the Jordanian Higher Accreditation Commission.
- I served as the Vice Dean & then the Dean of FPS in addition I was the Chairman of the Curriculum Committee of the FPS since its establishment till 2018. Last year I presented part of my experience in curriculum development as a poster, in the 77th FIP World Congress held in Seoul, entitled ”Improvement of Pharmacy Education in Jordan: The Hashemite University Experience”. In this Congress, I have attended the Global Deans Forum and expanded my professional network.
- I have several researches in the field of Pharmaceutics and Cosmetic Science including a research funded by the Higher Education Fund to support scientific research to study the cutaneous and therapeutic effects of Dead Sea Mud. In addition, I have established a Laboratory for the non-invasive measurements of skin properties using bioengineering devices which is the first of its kind in the Middle East to aid in skin pharmaceutics formulation and to prove the effectiveness of skin pharmaceutics and Cosmetics. Through this lab, with my expertise in various protocols development for claim substantiation, I managed to publish several papers in highly esteemed International Journals and helped skin pharmaceutics companies to develop their products and achieve the necessary official requirements for the registration and marketing of their products.
- I Supervised and participated as an examiner for a number of M.Sc. students in the area of Pharmaceutics & Cosmetic Science.
- I served in 2018 as the chairman of the Proficiency Examination Committee for Pharmacy Graduates held by Jordanian Accreditation & Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions. In addition, I served as a member in the Jordanian Accreditation Committee for evaluating and accrediting newly established Pharmacy program in a Jordanian Private University.
- I am currently a member in the Institutional Review Board (IRP) of the International Pharmaceutical Research Center, Amman, and a Member in the Higher Disciplinary Committee for Pharmacists in Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA).
- I am a former member of the Higher Committee for Medicine and Pharmacy in Jordanian Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) and I served as a former member of the Committee for the registration of cosmetics in JFDA.
- I developed two online courses at my university; “Ethics & Legislation in Pharmacy Practice” and “Pharmacology for Non-Pharmacy Students” and both courses are currently offered online for the registered students.
- I have started my own initiative entitled “A Pharmacist in my School” to deliver talks voluntarily to high school students to raise their awareness about safe use of common medicines.
